Open Question: Has my starter gone bad or my alternator?
I have a 2002 Chrysler Sebring Sedan and I drove it to my sisters school for a meeting. We were inside for about 30 minutes and came out to leave and my car wouldn’t start up. When I put the key in the lights on the dashboard came on and so did the A/C and radio, so the battery can’t be dead. We had help getting a jump and that didn’t do anything. The guy who helped told me it’s either my starter or my alternator. So how can I tell for sure which one it is???
When I try to start it the lights don’t dim. The guy helping said he heard a click sound.
