Open Question: Engine Degreaser = service engine light on.. What to do? Need help!?
I have a 2003 Chrysler Sebring LXI and went to clean the motor off with engine degreaser. I waited for it to cool off a little, sprayed the car with degeaser, let it set for about a min., rinsed it off very well(i think). It was steaming and stinks. Any way i went to drive the car out and the brake light was slightly on(faded, got brighter if i pulled the e-brake) so i pulled over, made sure the brakes were off and okay, turned the car back on and the service engine light came on with the brake light, i drive it home, check and made sure there wasnt water in the air filter and let it sit. About two hours later, turned back on and the brake light is off but the service engine light is still on. Should i re-rinse, go get the code scanned? Or what? need help!! Everything works fine though, car sounds the same, drives the same and all it just stinks like the degreaser so im not sure if i got it all off. LMK what to do!
