Parents and kids can now enjoy watching their favorite family-friendly shows while going on a road trip, cross-country ride, or just by simply driving their Jeep or Dodge vehicles. Sirius Satellite Radio, one of the leading satellite radio service provider in the U.S. and DaimlerChrysler AG’s Chrysler Group division has recently announced the availability of the first ever in-car television network, the SIRIUS Backseat TV to the 2008 model year vehicle lineup of Jeep and Dodge brands.

Chrysler Group’s Jeep and Dodge divisions will be the first and only automaker to be equipped with SIRIUS Backseat TV, featuring the most popular TV entertainment channels for kids including Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and Cartoon Network.

In the last quarter of 2007, the SIRIUS Backseat TV service will be available in the all-new 2008 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans, followed by other selected 2008 Dodge and Jeep vehicle models including 2008 Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Dodge Magnum, Jeep Commander and Jeep Grand Cherokee. The SIRIUS Backseat TV should also be installed in Jeep Liberty as one of the optional Jeep Liberty parts.
